GEOGRAPHY

The Mexican Altiplano region at 2000 meters above sea level, ideal for producing quality wines at these latitudes. Vineyards with a gentle south-facing slope.

WEATHER

Average temperature between 16 ° C and 22 ° C, dry-temperate climate, moderately hot summers and cool winters.

SOILS

Shallow silty clay, neovolcanic fine gravel, protected from excessive rainfall thanks to the proximity to the Picachos mountains.

GRAPES

An excellent expression of Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Aglianico, Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato Giallo and 15 more organically produced varieties.

At Dos Búhos we feel privileged and grateful to work with an exceptional team in the vineyards and the winery. The collective knowledge and agrarian expertise of the vineyard team and winemakers Katy and Milum Perry are critical to our success. Many on our team come from farming families who have had direct contact with the land for generations and possess knowledge of traditional and sustainable techniques that are at risk of being lost. We honor their contributions and hard work at Dos Búhos.

100% organic wines in limited editions.

As one of the few wineries that produces 100% Estate Wines in the Mexican Altiplano, Dos Búhos has the highest level of control over the cultivation and vinification processes, allowing us to manage our wine from berry to bottle. Our best grapes are hand picked and harvested to produce wines with the best flavor, concentration and depth possible. In the winery we use traditional winemaking techniques that focus on texture, structure and complexity, while allowing the fruit to shine with minimal intervention.
